Praying is what we do. We spend much of our time in prayer. Private prayer in formal times and in moments of our own choice, and public prayer in the community. When the time spent each day in praying runs into hours it is necessary to have a framework of vocal prayer. This vocal prayer is principally the Divine Office, the official prayer of the Church, and the nuns are specially obliged to pray on behalf of the Church for all mankind. People need prayers. We all need prayers more than we know. Please ask our intercession in times of need or thanksgiving, or when you feel in need of that little extra love and care. If you can, come to our chapel to join our prayers of praise and adoration. God understands that our lives are full and demanding, and accepts that in our modern ratrace we forget sometimes to thank and praise him. The Poor Clares are here to help supply the deficiency. He has given us this work to do, so please tell us when you need special prayers. People need prayers and God wants pray-ers.
