So that you, yourself, may also experience what his friends experience when they taste the hidden sweetness that God alone has kept from the beginning

Clare's words invite us still, although her gentle call to eternal bliss is not always easy to recognize in a world which offers so many ready and passing pleasures. It takes time and thought to understand the profound wisdom of her call, to place our confidence in love, to trust that hidden sweetness will flow from a life of self- surrender.
